Tube strikes and night buses - the trouble with transport

So, I've just read the blog post on here about the tube strikes hitting London tomorrow - but it's not just when people are striking that transport becomes the bane of us Londoners' lives. What about the night bus eh?! Thankfully, numerous buses including the N87, N44 and N19 come Battersea way, and dear SW11 isn't too far from Central but STILL!

The relatively short time you have to spend on the night bus as a Battersea-ite makes the journey more bearable, but I’m sure many of us still wish we could afford a taxi. To make you feel slightly better, here are some reasons why the night bus isn’t too bad:
- It’s cheap as chips
- It’s better for the environment than taxis
- It opens your eyes to people you never knew existed, and if you’re really lucky, you may even get chatting to one (preferably one not too odd)
And most importantly – London’s not too far from Battersea which is incidentally probably why lots of recent graduates move here.
Once this tube strike is over, transport during the week will hopefully run as normal. And then it’s the weekend which means one thing for many of us – the dreaded night bus. Ahhh.
Do you see more positives or negatives when it comes to night buses?

Guy,
We've got a website called goCarShare.com that will help people share journeys into work and avoid the tube strikes, you can read a blog about it here:

Let me know if there is anything that I can do.
Thanks,
