Dogs 'do marathon' at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home to find owners

  • This is Kitty Reigate of Clapham with Peanut - one of three dogs at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home who have run their very own London marathon at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Their finish line is when they find a new home.
  • Mongrel Peanut is the current long-distance champion, having been at the world famous animal charity for an incredible 429 days. She loves running around.
  • Just behind Peanut is athletic Molly, who has been in the care of Battersea for 334 days. Like 70% of the dogs that come into Battersea, Molly was found as an unwanted stray in London. A true sportswoman – she likes keeping fit chasing tennis balls!
  • Third to cross the finish line is Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Justin, who also came into the Home as a stray. He needs a calm home and some extra training and TLC.
