Valentine’s Day is around the corner – and you may well be wanting to purchase a gift for your significant other. Going by my recent jaunt about town, it looks like you don’t need to leave Battersea for your Valentine’s Day shopping.

In Joy in Clapham Junction Station, you can opt to buy a range of gifts from clothes to gimmicks like sex coupons and a pair of lips that grow when inserted in water. You can also fill in a heart shaped piece of card with a message for your loved one and the people at Joy will put it in the front window for you.

Other ideas include the softest heart-shaped cushions or heart shapes made from wood at Grand Passions. Your partner can cut cookies/mould choccies in heart shapes with presents available at All Good Gifts. Also at All Good Gifts, there’s really cute mini hot water bottles for £4.99, with a heart design on the cover. Moving away from the heart theme, you can knit your perfect boyfriend with a kit at All Good Gifts.

At Hutton’s, you’ve got lots of knick knacks including I GOT YOU BABE mugs.

A pretty shop with a cosy feel, Kiehl’s at 20 Northcote Road does products for all different skin types for men and women. They have a high percentage of natural ingredients and contain no perfume.

It’s a cliché but women love shoes, so you could treat your lady to shoes from Bullfrogs or Unique Shoes.

Keep Ben Health & Beauty in mind if you’re thinking about buying a massage for your loved one.

And Recipease has lots of gifts including the Valentine’s Hamper which includes chocolates and wine. You may also want to book a Jame Oliver-inspired cooking class to mark the occasion here.

Oh, and don’t forget to check out Battersea florists for flowers!
