Is Battersea a tourist hotspot?

I asked myself this very question as I wandered into All Good Gifts on Northcote Road and found babygrows (no wonder the area is known as Nappy Valley), and mugs with I *heart* Northcote Road on them like those ‘I *heart* Paris/London/New York T-shirts. Just up the street in Hutton’s were products with I *heart* Battersea on them.

Either, Battersea is fast becoming popular with tourists or people in the area are very proud of where they live!

D’you reckon Battersea attracts tourists? We do have that power station and tons of stuff has been filmed in Battersea Park including TV programmes and adverts.

Plus, we have loads of bars, clubs and cute little shops and cafes worth visiting in the Clapham Junction area and some nice places to eat on Battersea Park Road.

I know I want to check out Recipease, Jamie Oliver’s food and kitchen shop where ‘anyone can learn to cook and make great food’ on St John’s Road.

What do you think Battersea people? D’you reckon we’re too far from Central London to be deemed ‘touristy?’ D’you reckon those ‘I love...’ products are for local residents or people venturing to our South London Town from afar?
