If you fancy yourself a bit of a wordsmith, have a crack at composing a catchphrase or slogan for Battersea in conjunction with the SW11 Literary Festival.
-
Clapham Junction - at the heart of Battersea
Using fifteen words or less, sum up Battersea in a slogan and then text it to 07786202844 accompanied with the word, Battslog. Your slogan will appear on www.thumbprintcity.com/london/battslog.
Alternatively if you’re on Twitter, you can tweet your slogan alongside the hashtag, #battslog . Remember to follow www.twitter.com/batterseapeople while you’re there!
The cost of the text? The same as sending a message to a friend. You won’t be signed up for anything either.
The best entries will be featured on the windows of shops all around the Battersea area, and that includes the huge Debenhams in Clapham Junction. The winning slogan will be decided upon after the end of this month, and will be printed on T-shirts for next year’s literary festival!
So far, suggestions include ‘Better see Battesea’ and ’you dont have to be barking to live in battersea’ as featured on www.thumbprintcity.com/london/battslog.
Can you do better? We’ll (Batter)see...
