Wandsworth Women Get Into Football

A new programme designed to give adult females the

opportunity to learn how to play football is about to launch in Wandsworth.

 

The weekly sessions, organised by The Elms 5-a-side

football providers in partnership with London FA, will teach participants a new

sport while keeping them fit and healthy. Open to any female aged 16+, the

sessions will be fun and friendly and require no previous football experience.

 

The

programme is being subsidised through The FA's Small Sided Development Fund

which aims to attract new adult players into football. 'The FA are

delighted to be supporting this initiative through the FA Small Sided Football

Development Fund. The Elms and London FA have created a unique offer of

small-sided football sessions for Women in the Wandsworth area that are

interested in taking up football on a recreational basis' commented Simon

Wright FA Small Sided Football Development Fund Manager.

 

The sessions start on Saturday 17th

September at 9:00-10:00 am at Wandle Recreation Centre, Wandsworth, SW18 4DN.
