Free things to do with the kids in Battersea this summer

The kids are home for the summer holidays, and there's plenty of free stuff to do. They can play in Battersea Park Adventure Playground for a start for free after the council u-turned on charging (for the time being anyway).

What will you be doing to entertain the kids in Battersea this summer? Taking them to Battersea Park Adventure Playground for free perhaps?
You could encourage your child to be eco-friendly as the search is on for this year's 'green champions' - the winner will get £500. To bag this prize, your child will have to impress Wandsworth Council with something they're doing to make where we live a bit greener. You can enter at wandsworthchampions.gov.uk/greenchampions.
Also going on is the Circus Stars Summer Reading Challenge. Your local library will be running it to encourage children to read six books over the summer holidays. The challenge has a circus theme to add some fun to it.
There are new once-a-month family days going on at Pump House Gallery in Battersea Park. You and your kids can show off your artistic flair... or lack of... under supervision. The next event is on Sunday 21st August from 11am to 3pm - the Wandsworth museum will be there for the revisiting of the 1951 Festival of Britain.
