British snowboarder Jamie Nicholls got fourth place in the London leg of the lG Snowboard FIS World Cup at the Relentless Energy Freeze Festival at Battersea Power Station. Finnish favourite Janne Korpi won.

That is the best any Brit has done since the competition began four years ago, making him one to watch ahead of the 2014 Winter Olympics.

A whopping 27, 000 people attended over the two days including an English record winter sports crowd of 15, 000 for the World Cup on Saturday.

200 tonnes of real snow was involved in turning Battersea Power Station into an international snow sports venue complete with an alpine-style ski village. Groove Armada, The Streets and Rizzle Kicks all performed.
