Back in June, an enterprising Battersea woman started knitting classes from her Clapham Junction home ... with a difference!

Inma Goodhew wanted to give mums who'd recently given birth the chance to learn new skills as well as provide them with a space to leave their little babies, and has achieved that through The Old School Club.

And it's not just knitting classes on offer, but also sewing, photography and the chance to make your own knickers, all of which take place a seven minute walk from Clapham Junction train station.

Inma said: "After giving birth to my son Henry, I realised how hard it is for us new mums to get the time to learn new skills, especially if you want to take your baby with you to classes. I love sewing and grew up seeing lots of homemade things all around my home."

Four months after Inma started the courses, Battersea People was given the chance to come along to check out how they're going. Have a gander at all our pictures here.

A nanny is employed to look after the little kids in a safe and secure gated play area. Meanwhile, the mums are in Inma's workshop sewing Christmas presents, just a couple of metres from their babies.

One mum said: "I love that I can see my son from the workshop, and I've learnt so much doing this course. It's also a chance for a good natter."

Courses coming up in January include:

- A knit a cushion course, 3 x 2 hour sessions - course cost £72.

- Basic Sewing Course 3 x 2 hour sessions - course cost £60

- Photography 4 x 2 hour session - course cost £150
